Abele Automation is expanding its portfolio with state-of-the-art Building Maintenance Units (BMUs) – intelligent, autonomous access systems for buildings – thereby adding an innovative market segment to its business. Abele Automation handles the entire development, manufacturing and commissioning of these systems from a single source. Cutting-edge industrial robotics, high-performance drive technology, precision sensor technology and digital data acquisition enable the safe, unmanned cleaning, inspection and maintenance of even the most complex façades and structural components. There are virtually no limits to the integration of access systems of any kind into buildings – whether for condition assessment, solar shading or as a tourist attraction.

What may seem new today is in fact deeply rooted in the company’s history: since 1973, Abele Automation has been developing aerial structures and amusement rides for theme parks. Then as now, safety, movement and weather resistance have been the decisive factors.
